My kids are really independent and self-sufficient and I LOVE it.

They surprise me sometimes.

Tonight I walked into the kitchen and Ben had made himself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on toast.

Wow.

Three of my students came over this afternoon to watch Branagh's Hamlet. Thanks to tzikeh, I'm up to ep.12 of the first season of "Eureka" and it's Just. So. Fun. We're on "Purple Haze," the ep where everyone is losing it and being all weird. Funny funny. The kids started school. I get to drive them every day and am loving that (two whole days so far..."morning" hasn't really set in all the way, I don't think).
